The Palace influence can really be felt with adidas Skateboarding at the moment. The apparel we've seen from adidas this season certainly has the London skate label's vibe to it, and now we see footwear that takes some cues too. Palace loves a penny loafer, and adidas has come very correct with the wedding-in-the-afternoon, skate-session-that-night Acapulco Trainer, which comes in a sweet Black/Black/Gum colourway.
The upper of the shoe has been made using suede, giving it a significant level of durability, and comes in a black colour for a very smart appearance. The comfort closure strap that wraps around the forefoot comes in black suede too, with cutouts exposing a clean black leather and a Trefoil logo in the centre. Perforations feature on the toebox to enhance breathability, and there's an adidas tab attached to the lateral side near the heel (in black of course). Capping things off is a split midsole, which comes in half-gum and half-black much like we often see on the Lucas Premiere ADV.
The shoe may not look like it, but it performs fantastically. The comfort closure strap across the forefoot ensures a nice and secure fit, and a moulded EVA sockliner provides excellent cushioning and comfort. There's a herringbone traction pattern on the outsole that helps keep your feet secure on your board, and finally, the lining is a soft textile material to reduce the chances of blisters and such cropping up.
