The cold and wet weather that characterises a British autumn and winter is gradually taking hold now, and we're starting to see the arrival of winterised shoes that have been optimised to get you through the next few months in warmth and comfort. The Adi-Trek is leading the way, making a return for AW16 as part of a collaboration with Capita Snowboards and mutual adidas and Capita snowboarder, Kazu Kokubo.
The upper of the shoe comes in leather and synthetic leather, with a coating applied to the leather that wraps around the forefoot and midfoot to make it incredibly resistant to the elements. The tongue features a gusset design, which improves the streamline feel of the shoe and further enhances the water resistant nature of the shoe. Kazu's presence is felt with the crazy graphic printed on the insole, which appeared previously on his first Capita signature board. Around the ankle we see a woven mesh material, which also comes in black and makes the shoe much more flexible. The only hits of colour on the shoe come in the form of dual gold adidas and Capita branding on the lateral side of the shoe, a gold Trefoil logo on the tongue, and a grey/red/black pull tab on the heel. Oh, and the quality red/black blotchy camo pattern on the outsole!
The shoe's sockliner features EVA cushioning, which reduces the impact on the foot that is experienced with each step, and a fleecy lining runs throughout the shoe to improve warmth and provide soft comfort. The grippy rubber outsole has been vulcanized, making it very sturdy without reducing boardfeel, and around the ankle we see D-ring lace eyelets, which provide a much more secure fit. This is essentially the perfect shoe to see you through the next few months.
We also have a host of other Adidas Skateboarding styles, including the Superstar Vulc, Busenitz, Seeley, Adi-Ease, Silas, Matchcourt, and more.
