Adidas' Boost technology made its debut in the Skateboarding division last season, and for Spring '17 the brand has stepped things up a notch again - Primeknit has been incorporated. The Lucas Premiere ADV, hugely successful since its launch last summer, is the chosen model, and it ahs been given a full Triple Black Primeknit makeup.
As can be gathered from the title, the upper of the shoe comes almost exclusively in adidas' incredible Primeknit technology, giving it a great stretch and providing a sock-like one-piece fit. The title may say Triple Black, but in fact the shoe features hits of grey on the toebox and forefoot and is predominantly grey around the midfoot and heel, where the Three Stripes and heel counter contrast strongly respectively. The lacestay has been stitched on securely and comes in black, matching the laces and adidas label on the tongue, and a collar design features around the ankle to again provide a more secure fit.
You may not think it's ideal for skating, but the shoe still performs very well. A molded PU sockliner provides excellent cushioning and comfort under foot, and there's still an extra rubber layer around the front of the midsole for enhanced durability. The grippy herringbone-patterned outsole provides great traction when skating, and the flexible nature of the upper lets you skate freely without restriction.
Adidas Skateboarding's incredible Spring '17 footwear collection, packed with great skate-optimised technology and some incredibly stylish colourways, is available online here at Attitude Inc. and in our Colchester and Ipswich stores.
