Na'kel Smith has had an incredible last few years, with the most recent highlight being a starring part in the adidas Skateboarding Away Days video. It was easy to tell it wouldn't be long before we saw his name on a shoe, and that day has finally come. For AW16 we see the arrival of the Matchcourt Mid Nakel, in a classy White/Royal/ Bluebird colourway.
The upper features an unbelievably premium tumbled leather, the kind of quality you'd expect from a high end brand. The now-iconic Matchourt feature, the extended rubberised toecap, also comes in white, complementing the upper nicely. The Three Stripes on the lateral and medial sides of the shoe come in three different colours, moving from a dark blue to a lighter blue going backwards. The tab on the heel featuring the Trefoil logo comes in blue, as does adidas Skateboarding branding on the heel, which works well with the Stripes and bold blue outsole to add just the right amount of colour without being overpowering.
The Matchourt is fast becoming one of the most popular shoes in the adidas Skateboarding range, and from a technical perspective, it is easy to see why. The extended toecap and rubberised, vulcanized sole provide unreal levels of durability, and its mid-cut design provides great support around the ankle and achilles. Finally, the molded PU sockliner and grippy outsole give you great board feel and traction, making this shoe one of the best on the market at the moment.
We also have a host of other Adidas Skateboarding styles, including the Superstar Vulc, Busenitz, Seeley, Adi-Ease, Silas, Lucas, and more.
