The Superstar Vulc has played an integral part in the success of adidas Skateboarding's AW16 collection so far, arriving in a slew of great colourways with great materials and seriously good technology. Well, it's business as usual, because the Superstar Vulc has turned up in two more great colourways for AW16, the first of which is Core Black/Chalk White.
The shoe featuers a full leather upper, a tried and tested method from adidas Skateboarding that works so well on the Superstar because of its retro '80s style. Coming in a deep black, the upper perfectly matches the iconic shell toecap and lace, as well as the leather lining and sockliner. The Three Stripes on the lateral and medial sides of the shoe also come in black, but stand out from the upper thanks to their soft suede construction. The sole comes in an off-white, as does the woven adidas Skateboarding label on the tongue, to perfectly cap off a very minimal coloruway overall.
Adidas Skateboarding's molded PU sockliner, a mainstay in its footwear offerings, has been traded out for a drop-in ADIPRENE sockliner, which still provides exceptional lightweight cushioning and comfort. It also combines with the midsole to enhance boardfeel by sitting the foot deeper in the shoe, reducing the space in between the sole of the foot and grip tape to let you skate in confidence. The leather lining around the heel also aids comfort, and transitions into a mesh lining from the midfoot up to the toes to improve breathability. Finally, durability isn't an issue thanks to the rubber shell toe, and grip isn't either thanks to a multi-directional vector traction pattern on the outsole.
We also have a host of other Adidas Skateboarding styles, including the Lucas, Busenitz, Seeley, Adi-Ease, Silas, Matchcourt, and more.
