The Superstar Vulc has played an integral part in the success of adidas Skateboarding's AW16 collection so far, arriving in a slew of great colourways with great materials and seriously good technology. Well, it's business as usual, because the Superstar Vulc has turned up in two more great colourways for AW16, the second of which, White/White/Navy, is essentially a reverse of the first with a slight twist.
The upper of the shoe is fully leather, coming in a solid white colour, and the quality of it is instantly noticeable, with it creasing lightly as you press on it. The '80s spirit of the Superstar is still very resonant thanks to the off-white midsole, outsole and shell toe, which ages the shoe nicely without making it look too antique. Something we've not yet seen from adidas with the Superstar this season is different coloured Three Stripes on each side of the shoe, but that's the case this time around, with the lateral stripes coming in white and the medial stripes coming in navy, complementing the navy tongue, heel and lining perfectly.
The shoe features adidas Skateboarding's ADIPRENE drop-in sockliner, which offers the same great cushioning as the molded PU sockliner, but also enhances boardfeel by combining with the midsole to bring the sit the foot deeper in the shoe and closer to the board. Durability isn't going to be a problem thanks to the full leather upper and rubberised shell toe, and the front of the midsole is textured to help you control flip tricks. Finally, the multi-directional vector traction tread pattern on the outsole offers unreal grip, letting you skate in confidence.
Also, it looks a lot like the Superstar from the BAPE collab not too long ago, doesn't it? Always a good thing!
We also have a host of other Adidas Skateboarding styles, including the Lucas, Busenitz, Seeley, Adi-Ease, Silas, Matchcourt, and more.
