This weekend, La Chopera skatepark, Madrid are hosting the Vans Shop Riot 2015 European finals.

The series has been epic so far, championing more than 200 of the continent’s best skateboarding shop teams through 16 fierce showdowns. Travelling from the UK to Israel, through Italy and Poland onto the Baltics and then Portugal, we’ve seen some of the finest skating communities battling it out for a place in these all-important finals.

Last year’s winners, Burnside, quite literally crashed and burned during the qualifying rounds, paving the way for some new reigning champs this year – but who’s it gonna be?

Fighting to reclaim the title are UK based team, Black Sheep, who nailed a bonafide victory back in 2013, whilst local favourites, Pandaka are hotly tipped following their freshest win on this very battleground.

Also hungry to rip through the competition are Skate or Die (Poland), Twits (Belgium), Streetmarket (Czech Republic), Wallstreet (France) and Slut Boardshop (Greece), who have all made it as finalists in previous years.

Created to celebrate Europe’s independent skate stores and the unprecedented support they offer to the skateboarding community, The Vans Shop Riot is supposed to be all about unity and solidarity but the fight to the top is always savagely contested – and this year is set to be no different.

Over the next two days, we’re set to witness some powerful “off the wall” skating flair from all of the finalists.

If you missed the live feed, then fear not – watch the action from the finals right here.
