We’ve been championing Raised by Wolves here at Attitude Inc. for some time now, and this Spring/Summer 2016 collection demonstrates exactly why we were so right to do so. Streetwear fans will be familiar with Raised by Wolves, the Canadian streetwear brand that pays maximum attention to quality and detail and focuses on obvious yet subtle branding. This is the fourth season of clothing from Raised by Wolves that we will stock, and is arguably the best collection we have seen so far.
The impeccable quality of the various items offered by Raised by Wolves each season is more often than not reflected in the retail price. Hoodies, for example, can reach the £100 mark and more, and this does make the brand fairly inaccessible for many. However, the hefty price tag is worth paying for a cut and sew or outerwear piece that will last you far longer than the average piece from a high street retailer. This is the approach that should be taken to Raised by Wolves, anything purchased from this brand is an investment, the return on the price you will pay, in quality and longevity, will make it worth it in the end. Anything produced by Raised by Wolves is worth saving up for.
This season, that characteristically minimal approach to outwear and cut and sew pieces that we have become so accustomed to is again evident. Standout pieces include the black and burgundy chequered hoodies, which feature white branding on the hood and sleeves but somehow manage to not look too out there, and the Nepean polo caps featuring small “Raised by Wolves” text, so simplistic yet so stylish, they are sure to be a bestseller. A black coach jacket with tonal branding on the back again features, a staple of most Raised by Wolves collections, and an off-white sweater with an incredibly intricate flower embroidered onto it is another standout piece.
Photo tees appear in a few very clean colour-ups, along with a light pink hoodie featuring highly subtle “Raised by Wolves” text across the chest, a personal favourite of mine that I will be sure to pick up. In true Raised by Wolves fashion, some outlandish accessories (as far as streetwear goes anyway) feature, including a beach towel and “fuck off” mug, to add a real authenticity to the collection overall.
I’ve not even covered half of the collection here, and already it appears to be a very strong offering. Keep an eye out for much of the Raised by Wolves Spring/Summer 2016 collection to drop at Attitude Inc. very soon.
Final Thought – peep the fantastic Vans collaboration that is also coming from Raised by Wolves this season. The premium materials are designed to make the shoes in the pack, an Old Skool Zip and a Sk8-Hi Zip, highly resistant to the Canadian elements, and the colours are kept simple with different shades of black appearing across the shoe due to the use of a variety of materials. These compliment the Spring/Summer ’16 offering from Raised by Wolves perfectly, and should also be releasing very soon.
