Billionaire Boys Club is a staple brand here at Attitude, having been here for a few seasons now. Unsurprisingly, it has created another solid collection this time around, to make your wardrobe transition to autumn/winter significantly easier. The golden era of Billionaire boys Club/Ice Cream/Nigo in general may have passed, but BBC, as it is often abbreviated to, has responded well to this by reducing branding whilst maintaining quality, so you can’t go wrong with this new collection!
It makes sense to kick off with the most seasonally-appropriate items in the newest delivery – the hoodies. As for colour, the darker shades are in favour as the pastel shades we saw over summer have been traded out for black and deep olive colours. Both are 100% cotton and very thick (evident in the fact that each hoodie is 425 gsm), certainly suitable for the colder weather we’ll see arriving over the next few months. The contrasting branding on the left chest of each hoodie adds a nice subtle hit of colour to the hoodies overall, looking especially neat when combined with the embroidered Helmet logo on the left sleeve cuff. Overall, two clean hoodies with impeccable quality that are perfect for autumn and winter.
T-shirts are the largest component of this new delivery, arguably unsurprisingly as t-shirts are needed all year round. Pictured above are two of the four Small Arch Logo tees (the other two colours are grey and black), coming again in 100% cotton and 180gsm, so they’re nice and thick whilst also being some of the softest tees around! The minimal branding which follows suit of the hoodies looks really classy, and is a nice alternative to the usual oversized graphics that BBC often produces. It could certainly complement a smart outfit very nicely!
Billionaire Boys Club is of course the brainchild of pop star Pharell and A Bathing Ape founder/streetwear legend Nigo, and as such, the large graphics that chartered its rocket to fame in the mid-to-late 2000’s will never be eradicated. for AW16, these large graphics come in the form of the Arch Logo Reflective tee, on the left above, and the Galaxy AO tee on the right above. The Arch Logo Reflective tee is a real beauty, featuring that trademark Arch logo with reflective lines crossing through it that shine bright under a the flash of a camera, for example, and also the Astronaut logo on the neckline of the back of the tee. The Galaxy AO tee features an all-over print of a host of BBC logos, including the Dollar, Helmet, Flying B and more. The speckles across the tee are reflective, which serves to create a constellation-style pattern on the tee when under certain light. Two real statement tees here, and they even come in a variety of colours which you can check out on the website or in-store right now!
There’s only the one longsleeve tee in two colour variations this time around, the Helmet print tee. It’s a great tee nonetheless, again constructed from 100% cotton, and coming in the white colourway pictured above and also a black colourway, with both featuring the Helmet print along the sleeves in contrasting colours. The fit and quality is of course impeccable, again down to the 180gsm cotton construction, making this a nice option if a crewneck is too much or a short sleeve tee is too little. The tee on the right above is the Wealth Camp tee, featuring the Flying B logo on the left chest, and a new and unique Wealth Camp print on the back. Back prints are always a nice addition to an otherwise basic tee, and this is certainly the case this time around.
While we’ve had headwear from Billionaire Boys Club before here at Attitude, this season’s offerings are its strongest yet. On the left above is the Script Logo snapback, which offers a nice and sturdy fit along with an adjustable snap closure at the back. The quality of the embroidered script logo is second to none, and when paired with the small Helmet logo next to the closure on the back, produces a classy hat overall. The hat on the right above is the Varsity B Cap, and is a style of hat we haven’t seen here at Attitude before. It’s a fitted hat, so the snap/strap closure systems have been removed to give the hat a cleaner style overall. The hat is fairly stretchy, so it is still suitable to a variety of head shapes and sizes. Also, the front two panels of the hat are very constructed, ensuring a secure and solid fit, especially so when the curved peak is added in. The B logo is again embroidered to a very high quality, so this baseball cap-style hat is a decent, unique alternative to the snapback.
All of the items pictured above are available both online and in-store here at Attitude Inc in a large variety of colourways. There is also a grey Small Arch Logo crewneck, so I don’t doubt that there is something for everyone!
