Thrasher Holiday ’16 is Literal Flames

Thrasher has, and will always be, one of the untouchable brands in skateboarding, with a rich history in the industry that can be matched by very few other labels. While the clothing side of things may not be the brand’s priority (skateboarders, after all, want nothing more than to skate all day!), it has still produced an absolutely stellar Holiday ’16 collection that features a variety of new and already well-loved graphics. Without further ado, lets kick things off with the heaviest layers!

We haven’t seen proper outerwear from Thrasher in a while now, but thankfully that has all changed with the arrival of the Flame Logo Coach Jacket in Black. The exterior has been made using nylon, the perfect material for offering protection against the elements whilst retaining a light weight that won’t slow you down when skating. The lining is similarly useful, made from polyester to make it soft and comfortable as well as easy to slide over any thicker layers you may wear underneath. At the wrists we see elasticated cuffs, which along with the drawstring-adjustable waist provide a very streamlined fit, and a popper button closure system and collar design provide timeless coach jacket style. The Flame Logo does of course feature on the left of the chest, standing out strongly, and Thrasher has even saved you some effort by attaching a hood to the jacket, improving its functionality even more!

On the right above, we see the same Flame Logo grace a pullover hoodie in a gorgeous Forest Green colour. Created using cotton and polyester, the hoodie is very high in quality, with a good weight behind it and a fleecy lining that will keep you warm throughout the winter. At the wrists and waist we do of course see ribbed cuffs, which provide a streamlined fit that is ideal for skating and will also help to keep you warmer, and the hood can be tailored to a fit of your preference via a drawstring. Storage isn’t found wanting thanks to the kangaroo pocket on the front, and Thrasher’s iconic Flame Logo has been screen printed onto the chest, resonating all of the abrasive style the skate brand is so well known for. While these are two clear standouts in the latest collection, it is t-shirts that have taken centre stage (as is expected!).

First up we have the Babes T-Shirt in Black, pictured on the left above. It has been made using cotton, guaranteeing great quality in terms of fit and overall comfort whilst also making the t-shirt quite tough (skaters won’t be disappointed). The short sleeves provide excellent breathability and freedom of movement, both very useful when skating, and the ribbed neckline improves comfort even further. The best thing about the t-shirt, though, is of course the Babes graphic which has been screen printed onto the chest – depicting two girls riding a motorbike in a futuristic, space-like setting, with Thrasher text running above it in a minty green, the graphic oozes skate style. The Diamond Emblem T-Shirt is pictured on the right above, the brightest t-shirt in the new collection by a long way. It features the exact same specifications as the Babes T-Shirt before it, but instead comes in an incredibly bright blue colour that will certainly have you standing out from the earthy shades most people revert to during the autumn and winter. Brightening things further is the Diamond Emblem graphic on the chest, which consists of Thrasher text in the typical warped style but with a chrome design, and matching diamond around it.

The fresh Menorah graphic and the familiar Skate Goat graphic have also both arrived on t-shirts this season (the former can also be found on a hoodie here). Both again feature 100% cotton constructions and ribbed necklines to ensure great comfort, as well as short sleeves for improved breathability. The Menorah graphic, pictured on the left above, has been screen printed onto a basic black t-shirt, and depicts the Jewish candelabrum of the same name setting fire to Thrasher text which runs above it (typically bright and bold, as is expected from the brand by now!). The Skate Goat graphic has been screen printed onto the chest of a white t-shirt, and features blood red Thrasher text above a devilish goat in black, white and red. Provocative as ever with some serious underworld undertones!

In the headwear department we’ve seen a replenishment of two classic Thrasher snapbacks, but also two new additions – the Gonz Old Timer Cap in Tan/Black, and the Flame Logo Beanie in Black. The former has been made using a cotton twill, giving the cap a durable and high quality nature without making it too rigid. The low-profile, six-panel construction of the cap means it will fit just about anyone very nicely, and it can be adjusted via a self fabric strap and metal clasp at the back. It does of course feature a curved peak to further its low-key style, and on the crown see embroidered artwork depicting Gonz with Thrather text running above him. The beanie on the left has been made using acrylic, providing an incredibly soft, nicely thick and very stretchy beanie that will fit just about anyone perfectly. The cuffed style allows for a woven Thrasher patch featuring the Flame logo to be added onto the front, which stands out very strongly against the black backdrop. A perfect match for your Flame logo t-shirt or hoodie!

Everything pictured above can be found on our website by clicking on their respective image, and you can view our full Thrasher range here. It’s certainly one of our hottest brands at the moment, so don’t expect much of it to hang around for long!
