Yardsale Skateboards goes Bright and Bold for Spring ’17

The weather may currently be the coldest it’s been all winter, but with new arrivals from Yardsale, things look to be heating up nicely! The fledgling skate brand, hailing from South London, has built a strong name for itself in recent times, carving a distinct niche that has been well received by skaters and non-skaters alike. With releases like this demonstrating an increasing capability with intricate cut and sew items, we’re predicting very big things for Yardsale this year. The label’s Boxing Day drop has thankfully received a wider release, and we’ve got all of the products here at Attitude!

First up we have the heaviest piece in the new collection, the Harrington Jacket in Black, pictured on the left above. Made from 100% cotton twill, the jacket offers a smarter alternative to the previous two black jackets Yardsale graced us with (both of which can be found here), featuring classic harrington details including a collar and full zip closure system at the front. The waist and wrist cuffs have been elasticated, providing a closer and more streamlined fit (don’t worry though, the arms still feature Yardsale’s trademark wideness to ensure a vintage-style fit). Two front pockets provide useful storage for your smaller possessions, and on the left of the chest we see an embroidered Yardsale flower logo, vivid in colour to stand out nicely without detracting from the jacket’s classy overall vibe.

Moving down a layer, on the right above we have the Dipped Quarter Zip Fleece, which arrives in Baby Blue. Constructed from a blend of cotton and polyester, the sweatshirt has a good weight to it without being too heavy, and features a soft fleece lining to keep you cozy through the remainder of the cold weather. Enhancing the fit of the sweatshirt are the ribbed cuffs at the wrists, which feature the same white trim as the funnel neck to add a clean pop of colour, and the side splits at the hem which improve freedom of movement and breathability. The quarter-zip design makes the sweatshirt highly streamlined, and finally, an embroidered Yardsale logo features on the left of the chest. Does it get any cleaner?

Another sweatshirt that has arrived, this time in a classic crewneck form, is the Script Crewneck, on the left above in a Coral Pink colourway. A logo that has proved time and time again to be one of Yardsale’s most prolific, the Script logo has been screen printed onto the chest in white, with a subtle black outline making it stand out that little bit more. The sweatshirt itself is similarly excellent, made using a blend of cotton and polyester to give it a good weight and a fleece lining for improved warmth and comfort. At the wrists and waist we see ribbed cuffs, making the sweatshirt more streamlined and letting the sleeves stack nicely, and the neckline is ribbed too, reducing friction when skating and what not. The vivid pink colour is unlike anything we’ve seen so far this season, and certainly one to be marvelled at.

One of two LS t-shirts to arrive (the other can be found here) is the Script Long Sleeve T-Shirt, which comes in a crisp white. As is the case with all Yardsale t-shirts, it has been constructed from cotton to make it incredibly soft and comfortable, the latter being further enhanced by the ribbed neckline. The long sleeves are ideal for the remainder of the cold weather, and feature ribbed cuffs at the wrists to make the t-shirt more aerodynamic (particularly useful when skating). Across the chest, much in the same style as the Coral Crewneck before it, we see the Yardsale Script logo printed on, this time in blue with a subtle red outline and a distinctive West Coast feel.

Yardsale’s Classic logo had to be included of course, and in this case it appears on an Emerald Green T-Shirt, pictured on the left above. The t-shirt has of course been made exclusively from cotton, making it incredibly soft and comfortable. The short sleeves are ideal, improving breathability and freedom of movement significantly, and the ribbed neckline reduces friction, with both working to make the t-shirt very nice to skate in. On the left of the chest we see the Yardsale Classic logo, depicting a palm tree-adorned beach and sea with Yardsale text running through it, in a rich gold, lending a very summery vibe. One of the highlights of the new collection, most certainly.

On the right above we have the Valentine T-Shirt, another graphic making a welcome return. The black t-shirt has been made using cotton, again making it very soft and comfy, with the latter being maximised by the ribbed neckline. The short sleeves make the t-shirt ideal for the hotter weather ahead by increasing breathability, and the Valentine logo has been screen printed onto the chest in white and pink, typical effortless cool from YS.

Everything pictured above, and even a few more pieces, are available online and in our Colchester and Ipswich stores. Many of the pieces are selling very quickly though, so if there’s anything that catches your eye, act fast!
