The CTAS Hi has made a welcome return in two fresh colurways as aprt of Converse's Falll 16 collection, and this one, whcich follows a similar style to the CTAS Lo, radiates an autumnal feel. The classy Back Alley Brick/Black/Gum colourway complements the model perfectly to create one of the nicest shoes we've seen so far this season.
The upper of the shoe comes in a highly durable canvas, with the main portion of it in a rich red colour. The latter is heavily offset by black details running through the middle of the shoe, namely the tongue, laces, eyelets and toebox. The Chuck Taylor All Star logo on the medial side of the shoe comes in a tonal rich red to match the upper nicely, and this all sits atop a deep brown gum sole, which will have you matching the leaves wherever you go over the next few months.
If you need that bit of extra support around the ankle when skating this is the perfect shoe for you, thanks to its hi-top design and sturdy canvas construction. Also featured is a Lunarlon sockliner, which provides impact cushioning and comfort on a level that is rarely seen in skate shoes nowadays, and the grippy vulcanised sole offers unreal boardfeel and traction making the CTAS suitable for any weather conditions. The rubber toecap has been traded out for a canvas one which is just as tough, and the textured overlay remains around the front of the midsole to enhance durability in a high abrasion area.
Converse's Fall 16 range is available both online and at our Ipswich location right now.
