After an incredibly strong debut collection, the CONS skate division of iconic US footwear label Converse has returned for Spring '17. Only the one shoe to kick things off, but it's certainly a strong one - the CTAS Pro Ox arrives in Deep Bordeaux/Casino White.
The upper has been made using a soft and supple leather, which is very flexible and surprisingly isn't lacking in terms of durability. That wraps all around the shoe, from the heel to the forefoot, meeting the white enhanced rubber toecap at the toebox. You won't need to worry about comfort because the red lining has been made using a textile material, and two eyelets on the instep improve breathability. A white stripe wraps around the top of the midsole, easing the transition from the dark upper to the crisp white sole nicely, and the outsole comes in a classic gum colour.
The shoe features Nike's patented Lunarlon sockliner, which provides cuhsioning and comfort on a level that cannot be matched by most other skate footwear. The spongy and springy responsiveness provided by the sockliner lets you skate comfortably in these shoes for very long periods of time, and boardfeel hasn't been sacrificed at all thanks to the thin rubber outsole. Converse's signature traction pattern remains, very aggressive in nature to let you skate securely. Finally, the textured rubber overlay that wraps around the front of the midsole enhances durability hugely, whilst also helping with controlling flip tricks.
The rest of our Converse selection, also featuring the One Star and CTAS Pro High, can be found in our stores and online.
