Converse's Fall 16 collection sees the arrival of only a single One Star Pro, but the colourway is so good its all that is needed! The model favoured by many a pro skater nowadays has come correct in Black/Casino/Gum, a make-up that features the perfect blend of autumnal style and bright details.
The hairy suede upper of the shoe comes in a washed black colour, which complements the rich gum rubber outsole very nicely. While a low-key approach could have been taken with tonal black laces, Converse has spiced things up with bright red flat laces to add just the right amount of pop to an otherwise toned-down shoe. Black laces come as well if you prefer a more muted style, but lets be honest, those red laces look hard! Converse branding is kept to a minimum, with a tonal logo on the heel of the sole and an embossed star logo on the lateral and medial sides of the shoe, to take nothing away from the overall colourway.
The Lunarlon sockliner included in the shoe provides a level of impact cushioning and comfort that is second to none, a big factor in the success of the CONS range. Where the sockliner is thick in the heel area, it slims down around the toes, providing great boardfeel when working in conjunction with the grippy vulcanised sole. Finally, durability is taken care of by the sleek construction of the rugged suede upper which features minimal stitching, and also by the textured rubber overlay that wraps around the front of the midsole (which also helps you control your flip tricks).
Converse's Fall 16 range is available both online and at our Ipswich location right now.
