The Hyperfeel Janoski was incredibly well received when it first debuted, a complex hybrid model that seamlessly blended the best features of the standard Janoski with Nike's patented Hyperfeel technology. The Swoosh has stepped it up another notch, though, with the introduction of the Janoski Hyperfeel XT, arriving in Black/Black/Anthracite for AW16.
As for the colourway, it's pretty simplistic but on this shoe thats never a bad thing. We see a full black suede upper with matching midsole and outsole, and flat waxed black laces crossing over the black mesh/synthetic leather tongue. The padded cotton sockliner around the ankle also comes in black, as does the piping that wraps around the heel of the shoe. The only hits of anthracite come in the form of the Nike Swooshes, fused onto the upper and blending in with the overall colourway nicely.
The shoe does of course feature technology in abundance. Hyperfeel in the shoe's title refers to the sole, which features deep cut grooves in a variety of directions to let the shoe flex with your foot more naturally, enhancing boardfeel. It also refers to the combination of the thin rubber outsole and the cushioned Lunarlon sockliner, which work together to provide great impact protection and boardfeel. A gusseted tongue creates a one-piece, sleeve-like fit, which locks down the foot nicely in the shoe to let you skate in confidence, and the main thing setting the shoe apart from the standard Janoski Hyperfeel is the enhanced toecap. A rubber layer has been added around the front of the shoe where the upper meets the midsole, to make it more durable against the flicks and scrapes that go hand-in-hand with skateboarding.
We also have multiple other offerings from Nike SB, including the standard Janoski, Bruin Hyperfeel, GTS, Trainerendor, P Rod, Koston Max, Dunk, Zoom Oneshot, Blazer and Check.
