Nike SB's Spring collection has arrived nice and early this year, and it's certainly got us in the mood for the season ahead! Some of our favourite models have been graced with bright and intriguing colourways to result in one of the best Nike SB collections we've seen for a long while. The Janoski, regularly the centre piece of Nike SB's ranges, has again taken centre stage for SP17, and this time it arrives in a very Spring-infused Ale Brown/Desert Ochre colourway.
The upper of the shoe, as can be gathered from the title, has been made from a light brown leather, ideal for a skate shoe because of its durable nature and also ideal because of the rich colour it provides. The Nike Swooshes on the lateral and medial sides of the shoe, as well as the woven Janoski label on the tongue, pop nicely in their golden yellow colour, flashing nciely against the darker upper. Details like the piping and laces have been kept tonal, and a stripe features along the top of the midsole, all serving to tone things down nicely. Bringing things back up, though, are the white midsole and outsole, which provide a crisp contrast with the upper and a cohesive, sleek colourway overall.
While the shoe looks more suited to smart and summery outfits, it is still highly suitable for skating. The full leather upper, durable enough as it is, has been bolstered by a textured overlay around the front of the midsole which reinforces a high abrasion area. A Zoom Air unit sits in the heel providing great impact protection and responsive cushioning, and the collar has been slightly padded to provide more stability and comfort. Certainly a shoe that performs as good as it looks!
We also have multiple other offerings from Nike SB, including the Check, Bruin Hyperfeel, Koston Hypervulc, Trainerendor, P-Rod, Zoom Oneshot, Zoom All Court CK, Dunk Low Pro and Blazer.
