We saw the GRID 9000 in a "Dirty Snow" colourway this time last year, inspired by the harsh weather that batters Boston (Saucony's current residence) each winter. That sneaker was met with an incredible reception, and the three dots brand has acknowledged that this season and produced a Shadow 6000 and GRID 8000 CL both featuring the same "Dirty Snow" colourway, and an additional twist. Secondly we have the latter, a model that has already had a stellar year (see GRID 8000 "Shrimp" and "Desert").
the upper of the shoe is predominantly a beige Wolverine Silkee suede, reminiscent of the Desert GRID 8000 we saw arrive a few months ago, and features perforations all over to enhance its premium feel. Overlaying the aforementioned are canvas-like woven hits, featuring on the forefoot, midfoot and heel, which provide the "Dirty Snow" pattern that we've come to love. supporting that are the white/grey rope laces a grey lining, and capping things off perfectly is the icy translucent outsole which exposes the GRID tech in the heel nicely.
GRID in the title of the shoe is an acronym for Ground Reaction Inertia Device, Saucony's patented technology that consists of woven Hytrel filaments which deflect impact at the heel throughout the midsole to minimise the overall effects of each step. The sole visibly descends towards to the toe area, letting you roll off the board of your foot to provide a smoother walking sensation overall, and the outsole features an aggressive tread pattern that ensures great traction on all surfaces.
We also have a host of other Saucony Originals styles, including the GRID 9000, GRID 8500, DXN Trainer, Shadow 6000, G9 Shadow and Jazz Original.
