The DXN Trainer is one that certainly holds a place in Saucony's history, seeing as it was designed by Rod Dixon, the first runner to ever clock a sub-3:54 time for running a mile. This season, it has returned in two very fresh colourways, the first of which is this Olive make-up.
This is a very stripped back shoe, reflected in its retail price. The basic upper of the shoe is a thick and soft olive mesh, the same as the mesh on the recent GRID 9000 and GRID 8500. This is accented by soft suede overlays around the toebox and heel, providing great style due to its slightly different shade to the mesh, and great reinforcement to ensure a stable fit. The Saucony logo comes in a premium leather, and orange leather hits at the heel and tongue complete the shoe nicely.
This shoe was developed before GRID technology, so this isn't present in the heel unfortunately. However, The sole does still provide a good amount of comfort, as does the spongy and responsive sockliner. Also, the tread pattern on the outsole is very abrasive to the touch, so you can guarantee that optimum traction will be provided by these shoes on any given surface.
We also have a host of other Saucony Originals styles, including the GRID 9000, GRID 8500, GRID 8000, Shadow 6000, G9 Shadow and Jazz Original.
