The GRID SD is by far and away one of Saucony's most popular styles in the sneaker world, thanks to its retro-runner style and its incredibly comfortable nature. Colourways never go wanting either, with the "Kushwacker" being one of the most popular Saucony shoes ever, and for AW16 the model has returned. The second half of the "Public Gardens Pack" is this super premium Oiled Green colourway, a brighter alternative to the Oiled Black half of the pack.
The shoe boasts an upper that has been constructed to a quality we've not experienced here at Attitude since the Cosmo and Shrimp Saucony releases! A supple leather which forms the basis of the shoe has been graced with soft suede overlays, trailing around the whole of the shoe and providing a nice alternative shade of green to the leather. Lace brackets on the lateral and medial sides of the shoe, which make the fit of the shoe much more secure when the laces are pulled tight, also come in a different shade of green to make the shoe much more visually interesting when given a second look. An off-white midsole and light brown lining complete the shoe, providing a nice aged look.
The GRID acronym in the title of the shoe stands for Ground Reaction Inertia Device, technology that Saucony developed in the '90s to provide cushioning for its runners. The device is constructed fron woven Hytrel filaments, which absorb and deflect impact when the heel hits the ground, making these one of the most comfortable sneakers we have here at Attitude.
We also have a host of other Saucony Originals styles, including the GRID 9000, GRID 8500, DXN Trainer, Shadow 6000, G9 Shadow and Jazz Original.
