Adidas Skateboarding is really laying down the markers for a stellar year this week. The first of two incredible new arrivals is a collaboration with Hardies Hardware, the skate hardware imprint run by adidas pro skaters Tyshawn Jones and Na'kel Smith. The Matchcourt is the shoe of choice in the collab, and it has been given an excellent Navy/Yellow colourway.
The upper has been made using an exceptionally durable oiled nubuck, navy in colour to be in keeping with the apparel in the collab. That has been overlayed with a yellow leather on the lateral and medial sides, which provide adidas' signature Three Stripes, and gold foil "Hardies" text on the lateral side running parallel with the Stripes. The Matchcourt's now-iconic rubber toecap comes in a tonal navy, keeping the upper very low-key and letting the real centre piece - the embroidered Hardies logo in a huge size on the tongue - become the focal point.
The shoe has of course been optimised magnificently for skating. A moulded PU sockliner sits inside the shoe, providing excellent cushioning and comfort to let you skate for long periods of time. Boardfeel isn't sacrificed, though, thanks to the vulcanized and double-wrapped construction of the outsole, which brings the foot nice and close to the board. Finally, grip is provided by the multi-directional herringbone outsole pattern, with numerous pivot points letting you securely adjust your foot placement.
We also have a host of other Adidas Skateboarding styles, including the Superstar Vulc, Busenitz, Seeley, Adi-Ease, Silas, Lucas, and more.
