Saucony was founded all the way back in 1898, and the business grew so quickly it was churning out 800 pairs of shoes a day by 1910. Its reputation grew and grew all through the 1900’s, and in the 1980’s, Saucony began to produce styles that we would know recognize as some of its best retro runners ever, including the Jazz Original and Shadow 6000. The 1990’s saw similar innovation, with the arrival of the GRID SD, and with its athletes winning a variety of races left right and centre, Saucony established itself as a serious competitor to Nike and Adidas.
This competition has remained to the current day, but has transferred over to the casual sneaker market, with Saucony’s now-retro runners coming in solid colourways with premium materials every season. Mixed in with consistently exquisite collaborations with the most storied sneaker stores across the globe, it is easy to see why Saucony is a favourite not just here at Attitude, but the world over.
