The Hundreds

The Hundreds is another streetwear brand that will always have its place in the industry. It was founded in 2003 by the streetwear legend now known as Bobby Hundreds, and it certainly wasn’t all rosy from the off. Bobby and his business partner, Ben Shenassafar, scraped together what little money they had to produce some designs for a few accounts they had secured, and almost all of them came out badly.

They somehow managed to shift some of the mildly presentable t-shirts, used the little money they had gained to try and find a new silkscreen print shop, and they did. What started out as a few offseason orders quickly became the biggest orders the silkscreen print shop had on its books, to the point at which The Hundreds bought the print shop out.

From there it’s been an upwards trajectory to the pinnacle of the streetwear world. The brand draws inspiration from a host of California’s finest traits, including its punk and hip-hop, skateboarding and surfing scenes.
