Vans has hit us with a barrage of great releases so far this season, with the majority ranging from the subtle but colourful to the downright bold (see Kyle Walker Pro - Zephyr Pink). There's not been much by way of black shoes, but the Cali skate label has remedied that with this new Chima Ferguson Pro, which arrives in Oxford Black.
The upper has been made using a black sturdy canvas material, one that offers great durability and enhances the already-smart style of the shoe. Offsetting the aforementioned are brown canvas hits, appearing on the tongue and heel with the former also hosting black Vans/Chima branding. That all sits atop a solid black midsole and classic gum outsole, creating a very cohesive colourway on the whole.
Vans has incorporated some of its best skate technology into the shoe, too. UltraCushHD sockliners provide excellent impact protection under foot and drastically improve overall comfort, and the quality waffle outsole pattern maximises traction. A Pro Vulc Lite sole construction has been utilised, to offer the benefits of a durable and boardfeel-oriented vulcanized sole without adding much weight. Quite the shoe, it must be said.
We also have a host of other Vans Pro Skate models, including the Old Skool, Slip-On Pro, Era Pro, AVE Rapidweld, Half-Cab, Kyle Walker Pro and Tony Trujillo Pro.
